My Story

Hi! I'm Cari Voeltner, a Colorado artist who has loved and created art my entire life.  Always encouraged by my loving parents, I studied art throughout most of my school years in Southern California.  I went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, while also having the opportunity to study painting and photography for a semester abroad in Paris, France.  Much of my inspiration to this day is still derived from that incredible experience.  While I pursued a successful career opportunity in banking for many years, my heart was always drawn back to my art.  My husband encouraged me one day to pursue my lifelong dream, leave my 15-year banking career, and begin painting regularly again.

I now own and run a full-time handmade art business called Cari's Canvas, where I create artwork on wood and décor for homes all across the world.  All of my original artwork and lettering is completely free-hand drawn and painted so that every single piece is truly one-of-a-kind.  Also, limited editions of my work, and reproduction pieces can be found in Hobby Lobby, Kirkland's Home Décor, and other major retail stores across America.

I have explored many styles of painting through the years and currently find passion in painting inspiring words, whimsical florals and subject matter, and various other elements of nature to compliment my pieces. I reside in the Fort Collins area of Northern Colorado with my husband and beautiful daughter.  I thank God each new day that I get to continue living out my dream, hoping to inspire others one brush stroke at a time.
